I can relate to this story because my father is a diplomat so I moved around all the time and attended many schools in different countries. I also completed my undergraduate degree in Australia and then an M.B.A in Europe and the different systems are so apparent. Well done Barbara, I enjoyed reading your story. I mean as long as you guys love each other right? If the couple is ready and have enough money for the responsibilities ahead, then they should go for it. but for the latter, waiting is always something that they can do. If you guys are meant to be I believe you'd be together no matter how long the wait is. I am waiting though and is not in a hurry. Marriage is something that you and your partner should think of for a long time. Might be a cliche but I think marriage is something that isn’t really prioritized. I mean who know maybe in a few days you might lose your job, it is always possible and I have seen it all the time. So I am thankful that I even have a job. It may not be a job that I have imagined myself doing but at least it gives me enough to pay the rent and live on. One thing I'm afraid if ever would be losing the benefits that I get from the company.
